Small Vegetable Frames

Each of my shadow boxes showcases a different real vegetable cross-section. I begin by carefully creating and pressing thin cross-sections or each vegetable. I  enhance each slice by hand to preserve their vivid colour for years to come. There are 9 vegetables to choose from, and I grow most of these in my organic garden.

My designs then are mounted on a textured background, double-matted and framed in a simple yet elegant black shadow box under glass. The frame has a hanging hook, and a frame stand attached.  For a larger space, try a collection of 3 or more frames. 

Each piece is an original work, not a print. As is the nature of botanicals, no two are ever exactly alike, and your piece will vary slightly from the one pictured.
